  • RAICES Texas (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Service) has a service program at Karnes Detention Center for law students, lawyers, translators as well as other volunteer opportunities in Texas cities.

  • Volunteer opportunities  with the Austin Sanctuary Network include  public awareness campaigns and direct aid to refugees in the form of transportation, shelter, and food.

  •  Interfaith Welcome Coalition  provides assistance to refugees at the border and at ICE drop-offs in San Antonio.

  • Al Otro Lado welcomes volunteer attorneys, doctors, social workers, mental health and tech professionals to work (in person or remotely) in the Los Angeles area, Tijuana, and at the Otay Mesa detention center.

  • Attorneys, doctors, counsellors, and other professionals can volunteer throughout Texas with American Gateways.

  • National Justice for Our Neighbors provides free or low-cost immigrant legal services. In Austin, JFON volunteers are needed for document translation, research, client transportation, and pro bono legal services.

  • Casa Marianella provides shelter, legal & medical assistance, ESL classes and more to refugees in Austin, Texas. Volunteers are needed in all aspects of their work.
