Attendees of this Spanish-English bilingual webinar heard from activists in the Comité Fronterizo de Obreras, including long time CFO coordinator Julia Quiñonez, as well as from Ben Davis of the United Steelworkers Union. Speakers focused on how COVID-19 has affected the lives of female workers in the maquiladoras and if there are positive changes or not under the new NAFTA 2.0, i.e., the U.S. Mexico and Canada Agreement or anticipated from the recent enactment of Mexican labor law reforms.
